  • 9 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1 tomato(optional)
  • 1 fresh sage leaf
  • 1 onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 lb white beans, soaked overnight
  • Kale or Spinach
  • salt, pepper, cayenne

Instructions

Add broth, beans and seasonings to the pot. Bring to a boil. Cover and put on medium heat until beans are softened. Takes maybe 45 minutes. While beans are boiling brown sausage and onions. Drain grease. Add all the ingredients to pot and let it simmer for an hour.
